Create 8.x-2.x branch #4
Description
The 8.x-1.x branch was basically a straight port of the 7.x-1.x branch, with all functions in the module file. I think we should create a 8.x-2.x branch where these functions should be moved to a class and the class created as a service. We have a working implementation in the fork.
