TFA entry to site leads to error page with Joomla v3.6.3

I upgraded from v3.6.2 to v3.6.3 and I could not enter my site that is secured by TFA v2.3.
I reverted to the Akeeba backup created by the Joomla version upgrade and the issue was solved.
Waiting for notice on ReadyBytes website of the updated v3.6.3[4?] compatible version for TFA.

I have still held off updating my Joomla site to the latest version as last seen the last TFA update has been made in July and was last compatible with v3.6.2. Unless later Joomla versions show a non-reconcilable incompatibility with TFA, it would be nice to receive an update on the security extension.

Is TFA v2.3 now compatible with Joomla v3.6.5? I prefer to ask than to try and to have to restore from a back up to the v3.6.2 again.
