Is there any way to perform upgrade Postgrsql from (used by TabMon) 9.4.4 to 12 that is free from security vulnerabilities?

Due to the fact that Postgrsql in version 9.4.4 used by TabMon is affected by multiple security vulnerabilities (CVE-2017-7546, CVE-2017-12172 and more reported at https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-336/product_id-575/version_id-538582/Postgresql-Postgresql-9.4.1.html ).
Does TabMon work with the newer Postgrsql version 12 after upgrade performed as described in the following article?

TabMon works with the latest version PostgreSQL 17.4 and you can use Appendix A to get it up and running.
Is it currently working for you with the older version?

I'm running into this issue #273 with 17.4 and Tableau 2023.3+
