Plugin doesn't work

i've downloaded the latest from Github. I can build the plugin. but when unreal launches i get this message:
Package '/TechnocranePlugin/CranesData' contains a newer version than the current process supports. PackageVersion 1,013, MaxExpected 1,009 : LicenseePackageVersion 0, MaxExpected 0.
and the content folders of the plugin are empty.

ok, silly me. the problem is obvious. you guys made the assets in UE 5.5. So the assets can't be used in anything prior to UE5.5.
you should amend your uplugin file and notes/readme to reflect this.

in recent update I've moved assets to 5.5 and also I'm preparing an update for technocrane rig simulation to be based on control rig setup.
what version of UE do you use ? Is UE 5.5 not a good option for you?

i'm using 5.2. but the main issue is that the plugin file says that it is compatible with UE 4.22 - 5.5. But it's not...

you should amend the TechnocranePlugin.uplugin file to reflect this.

I agree, good point, on github it's mostly support for recent UE version while on marketplace for each version is have to be specific binaries and content. So if you want to have something for UE 5.2, the version from official marketplace should do a trick
I think it could be a good practice to keep a branch with each version before I switch content and code to a new one

yeah, you can create a Release on GitHub that has the older crane assets that will work for UE prior to 5.5.

in this case i was able to meet my immediate need by using the FBX downloads from the website.
