The configuration of TeknoParrot is the most cumbersome. When switching to another computer, you need to reconfigure every button and piece of hardware for each game. In fact, it can work just like MAME and DemulShooter—by simply identifying and remembering the VID and PID values of the light gun. This is because the VID and PID values of hardware are permanent and unique. With this approach, you only need to configure it once; no further setup will be required when switching to any other computer or sharing the game later on, and it will be plug-and-play ready.
Example: Below are the VID and PID values for Player 1 (P1) and Player 2 (P2) of the XGunner wireless light gun, as recognized by DemulShooter. The mouse ID ends with the number 2, while the gamepad ID ends with 3. This enables the system to identify and distinguish between light guns, mice, and keyboard keys. No matter which computer you switch to in the future, it will be plug-and-play compatible.
(Mouse IDs)HID#VID_1209&PID_0001&MI_02&Col02, HID#VID_1209&PID_0002&MI_02&Col02
(Gamepad IDs)HID#VID_1209&PID_0001&MI_02&Col03, HID#VID_1209&PID_0002&MI_02&Col03
Below are the VID and PID values for Player 1 (P1) and Player 2 (P2) of the Sinden light gun, as used in MAME.
