not sure what the problem is yet but on musl setting notes is very broken

well its something to do with this here, for some reason you can enter in the data, then the printf statments do something, really weird, if someone smarter than me has a fix please point it out

this might not just be a musl issue but it is as thats the only thing that is attually different on my system from when it was last working
