Hm, actually the character is displayed fine in IntelliJ, just ConEmu cannot display it. :-/

I think this has to do with variants (https://www.codejam.info/2021/11/emoji-variation-selector.html)
If there is no unicode variation selector with the specific character, the system/application outputting the character may choose the emoji-style glyph or the monochrome glyph.

Maybe Fira Code has the emoji-style glyph but is missing the monochrome variants of ▸(U+25B8) and ◂ (U+25C2), so applications that tries to use those will fail to display them.

The char ▸(U+25B8) work in most environments I paste the into, but in a putty-ssh-terminal window (with Fira Code selected as font), they appear as '?' in a square.
If I printf the hex bytes for this character without a variation selector in this terminal it fails to display:

But if add a variation selector, it displays it properly:

Hm, strange, maybe it was the terminal I used.
If I try it now it works.
Maybe I still used ConEmu back then and since switched to Windows Terminal.
If I try it now (actually was not the line selector char in gt but at a different place), it works fine.
