Android client distance accuracy wildly off

Describe the bug
The distance reported by client in a trip report is wildly off, as much as 3 times the actual distance. The actual distance has been measured with both Google maps and phone GPS. It is not a server issue because the hidden client with identical settings reports the same distance reasonably well.

I do not recall that issue with previous versions (currently Android client 7.7)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Server / Reports
2. Click on Trips
3. Choose the device
4. Distance reported is way off

I read that as you compared the numbers, but not the path, which is what I'm asking. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The paths are identical. The settings (i.e., update frequency) are also incidental on the hidden and 7.7 version.
The sample is small however, I noticed this discrepancy the last few days. I will monitor again the next few days and report back with a larger sample.

Please provide a comparison of the "identical" paths in Google and Traccar side by side, so we can compare also. I very much doubt they are really identical.
