We have asked for an update fixing the check problems shown at
  <https://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_results_leaflet.extras.html>
with no successful update from the maintainer thus far.

Thus, package leaflet.extras is now scheduled for archival on
2026-02-19, and archiving this will necessitate also archiving its CRAN
strong reverse dependencies.

Please negotiate the necessary actions.

Are there any plans to fix the issues reported for leaflet.extras? It seems like its mostly a matter of switching some rawgit calls to raw.githubusercontent, e.g. this one:

to

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/TrantorM/leaflet-choropleth/refs/heads/gh-pages/examples/basic_topo/crimes_by_district.topojson

It would be great if these could be addressed to avoid package archival.

We received the same notice last week. Are there plans to address this before the 2026-02-19 archival deadline?
