[BUG] It simply doesn't work to execute zsh commands

I've installed this plugin, and I directed the Shell to my macOS /bin/zsh, and nothing. . .
As a matter of fact, any code I put in code blocks will not render a run button anywhere like it did in the examples, despite me directing it to the right paths, viewing it in reading mode etc. Shell, python, R - none of them. I mean, what am I doing wrong!?

its because the difference in the PATH variable of your shell (zsh) and the shell used (sh) . Try specifying the full path of binary for interpreter/compiler. it would be good if we can specify which shell is used.

Full path I have as /bin/zsh (upon which zsh on terminal) - isn't that the full path of the binary?

no, full path of interpreter/compiler of language, like /home/pablitux/.dotnet/tools/dotnet-script, for the dotnet script (C#). see examples in README.MD

Are you talking about the where/which and the JavaScript|Node thing at the bottom? I am putting full paths to the interpreter and compiler. I mean, for my mac shell, it is clearly /bin/zsh or /bin/bash. All I want is my mac shell, python, and R really. The Run click box simply doesn't come up in the codeblock.

change the visualization to reader (in the book button at top right ) or put run- in codeblock language name like

```run-python
```

to execute in preview , it only render at viewer mode by default
and try to close and reopen obsidian too

Tried both of these things, no luck. I was sure to have been in the reader mode the whole time, and the plugin is indeed enabled. When I put run- in code block it just turns it to an unrecognized code block. I close and reopen Obs religiously when making any changes. Note that I am in reading mode and none of those codeblocks have a Run option even when I float my cursor over them.

See attached. zsh is my computer's default shell. I can put zsh, shell, Shell, sh, ```bash or prepend them all with run- in my codeblocks too, and nothing. Am I just doing something wrong somewhere? Do you think this might be conflicting with another plugin or something?

sorry for the delay, try disabling other plugins that interacts with code blocks, there is some issues about this here #437 and here #380

Okay, it was Shiki Highlighter - a plugin I've had problems with before. I also have Code Styler installed, and while Execute Code can work with that on, it seems a little glitchy. But after a few on-offs and reloads of Code Styler, with restarts of Obsidian each time, it seems stable, albeit the run button looks a little different.

But I would say if you want Execute Code to work right and be consistent, you should also turn Code Styler off too, from the little bit of testing I did.

I think this bug/problem is solved for now. Thanks for your assistance and patience as we worked through this. And I hope others benefit from this troubleshooting. The Execute Code plugin is going to be invaluable in my workflows.
