Not able to add a new event when I long press on a time for a particular date

Hey! Thanks for the app, its sad that google does not have a good way to have control over the calendar and the event creation model. I've downloaded the app and running as is on Android 4.0.3 . When i try to create an event , it shows new event, but when i get back to the main screen and select the date, I am not able to see the created event. Also I get a lot of errors like Bad values for createDNAStrands! events, from calutil which i am not really sure what it is. Also is there a way I can show the events on the main month view itself. I see green markers for events created on the Android calendar, but is there a way I could show the event title right there?

To be clear I see green markers for the events I create on the default android calendar app that google provides. I am not able to create any event from this app. Also for the events from the calendar, it shows incorrect data, it blocks out the whole day for the particular event in your view

I think the DNA strands error has to do with the internal Calendar utils function itself found here: https://github.com/android/platform_packages_apps_calendar/blob/master/src/com/android/calendar/Utils.java -- createDNAStrands

Other people have reported the DNA problem so its something I am going to
have to look into. I have not touched this in a while since I have been
busy with other stuff
