Description

Are there any plans that would allow to send a voice command ? similar to the mic button on the appleTV remote that triggers siri and starts listening ?

Absolutely, we'd love to have voice commands for Apple TV. We are very close on releasing the first Remote Two/3 voice support for Home Assistant, then Android TV a bit later.

Unfortunately the API on Apple TV isn't open and I'm unaware of any open implementations. Bits and pieces are available and some work has already been done in the pyatv library: postlund/pyatv#170

It took quite a while for Android TV, and hopefully it will happen for Apple TV as well.
