Backend NeonDB Access Blocked By NUS Firewall

In local dev environment, backend will fail to reach NeonDB because of port 5432 being blocked by NUS firewall. Hence, breaking all db operations.

Possible Solution

Use an alternative Postgres driver that will send db operations via http instead. In theory this should bypass the block. The driver in question.

Caveat
It is stated that the driver is not production-ready. Considering our use-case is rather simplistic ATM, this should be a non-issue.
