enhaced FLV to support spherical video

would you consider leveraging PacketTypeMetadata for the spherical video metadata?
In the similar way it is supported for webm and mp4 formats here: spherical-video-v2-rfc.
it might work for both standardising the approach for streaming 360 video over RTMP and enabling file conversion between video formats, i.e .flv from/to .mp4 without losing 360/3D metadata.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

We’ve discussed this internally, but it didn’t make it into E-RTMP v2 due to more pressing priorities. That said, it remains on our radar for a future release. Are you or any projects you’re involved with currently in need of this feature? If we add it to a future version of the spec, would you be able to test it, provide feedback, or know someone who could help implement and iterate on it according to the E-RTMP spec?

It is great to hear that the feature may be released at least in the next specs, even not being fit into v2.
the project I am involved in relays different types of video content across micro-services over RTMP and utilises both proprietary and ffmpeg-based implementation of enhanced RTMP spec (v1), for publishing and playing respectively. For the limited 360 video streaming scenario in order to serve the project current needs, PacketTypeMetadata was "unofficially" extended, so was the private ffmpeg , used in the project.
However, in standardising the format would allow to be compliant with other third-party publishers (like OBS etc) in the future.

In regards to possible collaboration/early adoption, the feature could be readlilly and willingly tested and the feedback given.
