[SHIPPING] Register dataset on Hugging Face and/or data.gov #19
Description
The JSON files are public static endpoints usable as a dataset. Listing on data directories dramatically increases research-community reach.
Options (do one or all)
Hugging Face Datasets
- Create an account; upload a dataset card pointing to the JSON endpoints
- URL: https://huggingface.co/new-dataset
- The dataset card markdown should describe schema, source, update frequency, license (CC BY 4.0)
Data.gov
- Requires a US government or affiliated organization account — may not apply here
- Alternative: include in the Open Data Network or CKAN instances that harvest GitHub
Socrata / other state portals
- Check if Wisconsin has an open data portal and whether this qualifies for listing
Tasks
- Determine which platform(s) are viable
- Create/submit listing with schema, description, and endpoint URLs
- Link from README "Data sources" section
