Screensaver splits image to both screens on dual-screen

I'm running gallery-screensaver 1.5.1-b17 under Windows, using jre1.5.0_12.

My machine has a dual-screen.

Whenever the screensaver becomes active, it displays images centered to the combined screen area of both screens, i. e. one half of the image on the right side of the left screen, and the other half of the image on the left side of the right screen.

I would prefer the image to be displayed on both screens (best), or only on the primary screen (2nd best.)

I didn't know anyone was actually using the GR Screensaver... Frankly, I won't have time to implement this in a timely manner.

Have you tried using Google Screensaver? http://pack.google.com/screensaver.html It should work with an adequately-formatted random RSS feed from your Gallery and provide a similar functionality, with the usual Google polish...

Seriously, thanks for suggesting the Google screensaver, I wasn't even aware it exists...

The problem is that my pictures are only available to logged-in users, so Google's screensaver can't access the feed. There doesn't seem to be a way to give the screensaver a cookie to include in its requests... :-(

Any other suggestions?

BTW, I'm not asking that you fix the problem ASAP. If you could spare some time in some weeks or so, that's fine with me. :-)

I have no idea how many people are using this screensaver, to be honest; I haven't maintained it in a year, and with the little time I get to spend on GR these days, it will probably be months before I get to it.

An alternative, if the Google screensaver suits you, is to get the RSS module to be upgraded to support passing login credentials as part of the URL. Would you mind filing a second issue around that? That module is a well-supported part of G2.
