BL1 360 saves not working 

I cannot get the BL1 saves to work with the Xbox 360 version of the game. I noticed the folder is called Borderlands 1 GoTY Enhanced but as there is no GOTY Enhanced for Xbox 360 I assume the 360 saves are for the actual 360 version (plus DLC)? The game just freezes when listing on of your saves in the load menu.
