Update composer/installers dependency #1821

Feature Request
The package currently specifies a dependency on composer/installers as "~1.0". This makes it difficult to use with other recent packages that specify version 2.x.
Would it be possible to update that to a newer "2.x" version, please?
Composer/installers 1.12.0 (the latest 1.x version) is over 4 years old and is unsupported as far as I can tell.
If you have some other dependencies that are still fixed on 1.x you can always specify "^1.0 || ^2.0" to allow for both major versions.
