@ggdhines I have some suggestions on the documentation you sent. I found it easier to annotate the pdf. You can find those comments here.

One thing I found confusing was the discussion of data structures in some sections. I found it easier when there were data examples paired with the data structures like on page 6. I think that would be helpful elsewhere especially where you talk about panoptes analysis.
