CHALLENGE : Socialise Events from URL returning JSON data.
RESULTS : Twitter page, automatic tweets of Events - including venue, date, time, hashtag and image.
Program obtains JSON data file from matchthecity URL, manipulates data, extracts Venue, Activity, Date and Time.
Access Bing and/or Google API to get random image of activity and venue, add #Aberdeen hash tag.
Tweet data, image and hashtag using Twitter API.
The URL to obtain the JSON data is paramaterised so that only activities in the next few days are included.
The whole process can be scheduled to run at prescribed times so activities are tweeted in sufficient time for interested parties to participate.
