After some thinking, i believe that having code names just overcomplicates the versioning system. Also this project will probably not go beyond 1.x.x so it seem quite redundant. It was a charming idea and might fit better on a more mature project with constant development but for this project it is not needed.

Yeah, seem like a good idea to remove it. Just streamlines it for potential new contributors.
