Biendata-Backend

Biendata-Backend serves as the server-side component of the Biendata project, facilitating data processing, API endpoints, and database interactions to support the visualization of plant species distributions.

Prerequisites

Getting Started

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/EnquistLab/Biendata-Backend.git
    cd Biendata-Backend
  2. Install Dependencies:

    npm install
  3. Configure Environment Variables: Create a .env file in the root directory with the following content:

    DATABASE_URL=your_database_url
    PORT=3001
  4. Start the Application:

    npm run dev
