• 🌅 Custom Backgrounds: Upload your own images or GIFs as the new tab background.
• ⏰ Time & Date Display: Displays the current time and date with customizable locale settings.
• 🎭 Personalized Greetings: Choose your own greeting name and language.
• 🔗 Quick Shortcuts: Save and access your favorite websites directly from the new tab.
• 📝 Daily Quotes: Get a new motivational quote every day in your preferred language (English/German).
• 🌍 Multi-Language Support: Currently supports English and German, with more languages planned in future updates.

📥 Installation

1. Clone this repository:

   git clone https://github.com/flamevel/startly.git

2. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions/.
3. Enable Developer mode (top right corner).
4. Click Load unpacked and select the StartlyExtension project folder.

📝 Usage

• Open a new tab to see your customized new tab page.
• Click the ⚙️ (Settings) button to:
  • Upload a custom background image or GIF.
  • Set your preferred greeting name and time format through the language.
  • Add or remove shortcuts for quick navigation.
  • Switch between available languages.

🚀 Language Support

Startly currently supports English and German. You can change the language in the settings menu. More languages will be added in future updates based on community requests.

Q: How does the Daily Quotes feature work?
A: Each day, Startly displays a new motivational quote based on your selected language. This helps to boost your productivity, inspiration and motivation. You can also add new ones by yourself in src/data/quotes.json, just follow the format.
