Team Project 2: Homehacks

Description

Build a front-end web design for a client-side single-page application using ReactJs.

User Story

As a user, I want to find out tips and tricks to save money on my energy bills and reduce my carbon footprint. Find how much it would cost
to use different appliances depending on the time and how much energy I'm consuming. image

Acceptance Criteria

  1. User gains information when they click on any appliance in the house. Each modal as an external link to useful websites.
  2. 'Get Out' Page has an input search function.
  3. User can find cycling routes to walk or use their bicycle instead of using their vehicle.

Usage

Discovering different ways to save money within the domestic house by clicking.
on appliances. A Modal pop ups to show advice and tips. Another usage is the get out page.

Known Issues

The geolocation routing feature currently requires a Google Maps API key with billing enabled.

Future Development

To connect with smart devices in homes and interact with personal home usage of energy. To partner with renewable energy companies to offer discounts and deals for use of domestic devices within the home. To suggest alternatives to using energy for consumers.
