This component is a local database i a SQL Server Database Engine instance, some jobs on the local SQL Server Agent and maybe 3rd part objects like the maintenance solution from Ola Hallegren (https://ola.hallengren.com/).
The local database holds data like storage info or OS info. One benefit is that the SQLAdmin service account does not have to be local administrator in Windows OS.
