Interview Experience 90
#2017
##TechnologyAnalyst
Round 1: Online round: This round had 10 aptitude based mcqs and 2 coding questions.
Both questions were simple but twisted in language.
One was based on maximum sum square submatrix and the other was to maximise profit while buying and selling stocks (maximum contiguous sum in 1D array).
32 students were selected from this round (out of nearly 200).
Round 2: Technical interview:
The interviewer started with questions from my resume.
I had mentioned both Java and C++ in my CV. So he asked, what is the difference between Java and C++?
How do you return multiple values in java and python?
Then he gave two sql queries. Find the maximum count of students in each course (college scenario) and the course with maximum no of students, modifying only the previous query.
Thereafter he asked me to write a function to check if a string is palindrome or not(using recursive technique).
What is the difference between inner join and outer join?
What are the acid properties?
What is two phase commit?
What do you mean by locking point?
Finally he asked an Hr question - What do you mean by teamwork?
(There was no limit to the no. of students selected in this round. Anyone they were interested in was immediately sent to the next round.)
Round 3: HR Interview:
The interviewer started with tell me about yourself. (His main interest here was to know about your parents and their occupation.)
Tell me about your projects and internships. How did you apply for them? Were you present onsite or virtually?
Did you sit for other companies? Why did you not clear them? Why do you want to join this organisation?
If this company would not have come would you have waited for good companies?
Would it not have been risky if you were not placed by the end of the year waiting for good companies?
A few questions on your weakness and how will you manage with them in the corporate world?
Your location preference. (This round involed a lot of cross questions. 8 students cleared this round and were finally selected.)
