5 Days Ashore is a tense survival adventure where you awaken shipwrecked on a mysterious island with only one life to spare. By day, you gather resources, craft tools, and prepare defenses. By night, the island transforms into a nightmare, unleashing packs of monsters that grow more aggressive each night. Survive four relentless nights to reach rescue on the fifth day.
- Install Unity 6000.2.10f1 (Unity 6) or a later compatible version.
- Clone or copy the project into your Unity workspace.
- Open the folder in Unity Hub and launch the project.
- Load Assets/Scenes/Main.Scene.unity and press Play.
- Load Assets/Scenes/MainMenu.unity if you want to test the menu flow.
- In asset there is a ready to play build called 5 Days Ashore Build, simply start the exe file and game would launch.
- Explore during the day to collect resources and stay hydrated.
- Use gathered items for crafting.
- Survive nightly attacks until dawn, and repeat.
- Reach day five and survive until morning to win.
- Survival stats: health, stamina, hunger, and hydration drain over time and display on the HUD.
- Resource gathering: approach nodes, equip the right tool, and drink at water sources to stay hydrated.
- Inventory and crafting: manage backpack and hotbar slots, consume food or potions, and craft new gear.
- Combat: equip the sword, swing with simple melee attacks, and loot enemies when they fall.
- Enemy nights: dark hours spawn waves that pursue the player and retreat when dawn arrives.
- Day and night cycle: smooth lighting and music transitions lead into a win screen when you endure long enough.
- Move with WASD.
- Sprint with Left Shift while you have stamina.
- Interact or gather with E when a prompt shows.
- Attack with F when the sword is equipped in the hotbar.
- Open or close the inventory with I and pick hotbar slots with number keys.
- Consume potion or meat with R key.
- T to change facing angle
- If stamina hits zero you must recover above the threshold before sprinting again.
- Drinking nodes refill hydration instantly and do not need a tool equipped.
- Crafting pulls ingredients straight from your inventory, so keep it stocked.
- Healing pyramids scattered around the island work at night but stay dormant during the day.
- Monsters will drop meat, use wisely since they are your only source of food. They can also be crafted into potion. Monsters will increase in spawn every night.
