Here are some principles for submitting to "The Book of Statistical Proof", by creating a proof or definition page.
- The easiest way of submitting to the StatProofBook is to draft using one of the template files.
- Please try to adhere to our naming conventions, citing conventions and suggested notation.
- In addition to the mathematical part, don't forget to fill out the metadata fields in your submission.
- Non-statistical theorems (e.g. the property of a determinant) do not need to be proven, but must me mentioned and specified in the text.
- Statistical theorems (e.g. the mean of a distribution) do not need to be proven, but must be mentioned and internally referenced.
- In essence, this means that in the StatProofBook, nothing must be proven, but the material only needs to be arranged... ;-)
- You can reference existing proofs via
[reference text](/P/shortcut).
- A definition can't have the same shortcut that is already used for a proof, because something that is defined doesn't need to be proven.
- You can reference existing definitions via
[reference text](/D/shortcut).
