An extension to base multiblock is DataPacket compatibility. Some blocks additionally interface with data hatches either to transmit or receive data.

Data Link Types:

  • Quantum Computation - Used by Network Switch, Quantum Computer, Research station, any other blocks depending on computation requirements.
  • Inventory Information - Used by Assembly Line Data Bank to share data sticks. Which expands assembly line recipe capacity.

Simple Setup:

Simple data routing is done by making a Master -> (Optical Fiber up to 1000 blocks length) -> Slave Connection.

Disclaimer:

Not all multiblocks can connect to each other. For instance you cannot mix Data link Types. Optical fiber can not be split or merged. All blocks in the transmission line must be painted to the same color.
