Building on the interactivity of geocaching apps, Tokyo Noire brings story-driven, geolocation-based scavenger hunts to mystery lovers.
Tokyo Noire is both a repository for players to find enthralling mysteries bridging fiction and real-life, and a platform for both amateur & professional writers to share short-form interactive adventures with thrill-seekers.
Our web app hopes to augment the way we view and interact with our environment, and invite more people to explore landmark, cities and neighbourhoods in new and exciting ways.
07/12/2022 - Functioning Game
This includes a fully functional instance of one game.
The web application is designed to work mobile-first, but this PoC will lay the grounds for a desktop-friendly game editor.
14/12/2022 - Functioning Editor
Details of the game editor are yet to be finalised.
The editor should use building blocks that allow writers to create complex narratives and implement both image-based and text-based location-specific challenges.
22/12/2022 - Complete Base App Demo
We will present and demonstrate our application in front of an audience of guests and friends from Tokyo tech scene.
The game will released and free to play.
