This is a series of parts for an Automata, designed in OpenSCAD. Parts are designed around hexagonal rod, with a notional OD of 8mm.

All other parts (cams, gears, linkages, etc.) are meant to interface with the 8mm hex rod.

The idea is to build a repository of mechanically and geometrically simple components and mechanisms that can be 3d printed easily on cheap FDM machines, and combined to design the mechanical components needed for simple automata.

Parts are parametric where possible, but self-contained (eg. don't reference/import from other files).
