I presume you need to link alsa now too? Also, there are quite a few formatting inconsistencies, but I'm not so worried about those. |

code cleanup - brace mathing etc. make sure everything that gets allocated gets freed, opened closed.

work in progress there should be two commits in this branch -
The first adds the MFMidi_update function to the main event loop.
The other is the code for the alsa midi driver which I will be appending
