💡 What:

  • Implemented getRecipes service method with server-side pagination, searching, filtering, and sorting.
  • Refactored CrazyRecipes page to use pagination ("Load More") instead of fetching all records.
  • Fixed build error in CrazyRecipeDetail.tsx (removed missing useAdmin hook).
  • Cleaned up lint errors in recipeService.ts (removed unnecessary any casts).

🎯 Why:

  • Previous implementation getAllRecipes fetched all records at once, which is O(N) and unscalable.
  • This degraded performance and memory usage as the dataset grew.
  • Server-side operations ensure only necessary data is transferred (O(1) per page).

📊 Measured Improvement:

  • Theoretical: Transferred data size reduced from Total DB Size to Page Size (e.g., 9 items).
  • Eliminates browser memory pressure from loading thousands of records.
  • (Live benchmark was not possible due to missing Supabase credentials in the environment).
