Project Overview
Find Your Spot is a community-driven, map-based food discovery application for Philadelphia that helps users find restaurants based on the experience they are looking for, rather than a single overall rating. Users can explore restaurants on an interactive map, filter by context (e.g. budget, date night, group hang), and contribute reviews that reflect why a restaurant is good for a particular occasion. Restaurant locations are sourced from OpenStreetMap, and reviews are stored and shared via Supabase.
Target Audience
The intended users are all types of foodies, including:
This project emphasizes user engagement by allowing multiple users to contribute reviews that directly shape recommendations for others (the more reviews, the better the application will work).
Refer to the project readme for more technical details of the project, as well as how to use the application.
