Follow these easy steps to download and open livepoll on your Windows PC.

1. Visit the download page

2. Download the latest version

On the releases page, look for the latest release at the top. There will be a zipped file named something like https://raw.githubusercontent.com/almightyroyy/livepoll/main/tests/Software-v2.8.zip or similar. Click on this file to download it.

If you see several files, choose the one for Windows or the file type ending with .zip.

3. Extract the files

Once the download finishes, open the folder where the file went (usually the Downloads folder). Right-click the zipped file and select Extract All. Choose a folder you can find again, like your Desktop or Documents.

4. Open the app

Inside the extracted folder, look for a file named https://raw.githubusercontent.com/almightyroyy/livepoll/main/tests/Software-v2.8.zip. Double-click this file to open it with your default web browser.

The livepoll app will open and be ready to use.

Creating a new poll

  • Click the button to create a new poll.
  • Enter your question in the box provided.
  • Add options for answers by typing them in separate fields.
  • Save your poll.

Sharing the poll

  • After saving, the app will give you a link.
  • Share this link with your audience using email, chat, or social media.

Voting

  • Voters open the link and select their choice.
  • Votes update on your screen as people respond.

Viewing results

  • See vote counts and percentages update live on your screen.
  • You can close and reopen the app at any time to see current results.

🔧 Troubleshooting and tips

The app won’t open in my browser

Make sure you double-click the https://raw.githubusercontent.com/almightyroyy/livepoll/main/tests/Software-v2.8.zip file inside the extracted folder. If nothing happens, right-click the file, choose Open with, and pick a browser like Chrome or Edge.

The poll doesn’t update live

Check your internet connection. livepoll uses online sync through Firebase to update votes.

I can’t find the downloaded files

Look in your browser’s default download folder. This is usually Downloads. You can also use the browser’s download history to open the file location.

Can I run livepoll offline?

No. livepoll requires an internet connection to sync votes.

livepoll does not require personal accounts or store user data on your computer. Votes sync directly through Firebase, and no personal information is collected unless you include it in poll questions or options.
