Here's a fix for an issue where the on screen parameters go to many decimal places when updated via midi. This fix works on my norns shield when I'm controlling wrms via nanoKONTROL2 but I'm new to lua and the norns ecosystem so I accept it might not be the best fix. Still I thought I'd offer it on the small chance that it might be the right way to go :-)
