The new Earthscope consortium (http://earthscope.org) replaced the
old IRIS consortium previously, and now the official URL for web
services is at the host earthscope.org. In addition, HTTPS is
required for data access. Update the default server to be called
"Earthscope"instead of"IRIS", and change the"IRIS"serverto point to the new address.
Details of the server change are (for now?) at:
https://service.earthscope.org/fdsnws/dataselect/1/
Note that the FDSNEvent server operated by Earthscope is deprecated
so the default server for
get_eventswill have to be changed atsome point in the future
(https://service.earthscope.org/fdsnws/event/1/).
