Removes the jQuery dependency from the sdk using functions supported in IE8+
Note
This is not a complete PR because I cannot get the tests to run (probably due to me not very familiar with bower and jasmine anymore but this is probably 90% of the work needed). The team at @rbilabs will be using this soon and will report add back any fixes.
It has also been a while since I've done callbacks and es5 js syntax 😅
