Summary

Automatic installation

Since FBR 2.1, there are installers that can automatically install and update FBR on Windows and Linux. See how to use them in this section.

Windows installer

To install or update FBR on Windows, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the downloads page and get the latest version of FBR. Download the FBR_Setup_Windows.exe file and execute it.

  2. The FBR installer for Windows will ask which language to use for the installation. Please choose the language properly, as FBR will be installed in the language selected in this step. Click OK to proceed.

  1. An installer welcome screen will be displayed. Click Next to proceed.

  1. The FBR license (MIT license) will be displayed. You must agree to the license to perform the installation. Click Next to proceed.

  1. In this step, you must inform the folder where ScadaBR is installed. If the path is incorrect, use the Browse... button to search for the correct path. Click Next to proceed.

  1. Under certain circumstances, a screen may be displayed notifying you that a version of FBR is already installed. In this case, by clicking Next, the installer will remove the old version and update it with the new version.

Important note: if the same version or a newer version of FBR is installed, the installer will display a warning and will not be able to continue the installation. In this case, you can choose to install manually.

Linux installer

  1. Go to the downloads page and get the latest version of FBR. Download the FBR_Setup_Linux.zip file.

  2. Extract the FBR_Setup_Linux.zip file.

  3. Find the install.sh script and give it execute permission. This can be done through the graphical interface or through the following command in the terminal:

chmod +x install.sh
  1. Open a terminal in the folder where the install.sh file and the fuscabr/ folder are located. Run the install.sh file as root using the command:
sudo ./install.sh

Note: the FBR installer automatically looks for ScadaBR installations in the most common paths, but you can also specify the path where your ScadaBR installation is located. Just enter the proper path right after ./install.sh. For example:

sudo ./install.sh "/opt/custom_tomcat_path/webapps/ScadaBR"
  1. The installation script will run and ask in which language FBR should be installed. Type the number corresponding to your language and press ENTER, as shown in the image below:

  1. Wait for the installation to finish. If everything goes well, the installer will display a message similar to the one shown in the following image:

Manual installation

To perform a manual installation of FBR, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the downloads page and get the latest version of FBR. Download the FBR.zip file.

  2. Extract the FBR.zip file.

  3. Copy the fuscabr folder into the resources/ folder in your ScadaBR installation.

  4. In your ScadaBR installation, edit the WEB-INF/tags/page.tag and WEB-INF/jsp/publicView.jsp files. Add to these files a script tag with the content: <script src="resources/fuscabr/fuscabr.js" defer></script>.

  5. Clear your browser's cache and enjoy FBR!

Uninstalling FBR

Currently, we do not provide a method to automatically uninstall FBR, but you can manually uninstall it by following these steps:

  1. Access your ScadaBR installation folder and navigate to the webapps/ScadaBR/resources subfolder.

Note: you may need administrator (root) permissions to access this folder.

  1. Delete the fuscabr/ folder. If that folder doesn't exist, delete the fuscabr.js file.

  2. Again in the ScadaBR installation folder, navigate to the files webapps/ScadaBR/WEB-INF/tags/page.tag and webapps/ScadaBR/WEB-INF/jsp/publicView.jsp. In these files, look for HTML <script> tags that have in the src attribute references to the fuscabr.js file. Delete all tags found and save files.

  3. Clear your browser's cache.
