Makes sense.
I wonder what could be a good way to acknowledge non-code contributions instead. Any follow-up list we might come up with will probably end up stale as well. Maybe occasionally thank people through social networks, or the eCHO newsletter? 🤔 I don't know.

Everyone that is mentioned in the newsletter is thanked on socials. I think that is probably more effective and won't go stale because it links directly to their contribution. |

The CONTRIBUTORS.md never really took off and I don't think it accurately portrays who is contributing to the project. I think it would be better to remove it than have it be so stale.
