Keyboard control doesn't work when search as you type is enabled

In Firefox, there's a "Search for text when you start typing" setting.

With this enabled, the search box pops up when using a keyboard key to try and control the robot.

This does not happen when using the same keys to navigate the map view on the right-side panel. So, some behaviour should be copied over from that.
