This project is an open source forum based on Laracasts' Let's Build a Forum with Laravel video series.
- Users can browse threads by popularity, unanswered, and their own threads
- Users can filter/search threads by a keyword
- Users can subscribe to threads
- Users can create, edit, delete, and favorite comments
- Users can view their activity history
You must have PHP 7 installed as a prerequisite.
Clone this repository to your machine, and install all Composer dependencies.

cd forum && composer install
cp .env.example .env
php artisan key:generate
npm install && npm run dev
php artisan scout:import 'App\Thread'
Create a new database and reference its name and username/password within the project’s .env file.

Migrate your database to create the required tables.
php artisan migrate:fresh --seed
Input any number of “channels” into the channels table in your database. Next, clear your server cache.
php artisan cache:clear
Visit http://forum.test/threads to create a new account and publish your first thread.
