Visual Redesign: Green + Space Grotesk

  • Redesign to move away from a generic AI aesthetic. Switched to an emerald green palette with Space Grotesk typography, solid cards, and a cleaner, more professional look.
  • Changes
  • Color System
  • Replaced purple/violet accent colors with emerald green (#10B981)
  • Updated all CSS variables and Tailwind config to use emerald scale
  • Softer light mode background (#FAFAFA instead of pure white)
  • Updated all hardcoded purple color references across components
  • Typography
  • Replaced Inter with Space Grotesk
  • Updated font imports in index.html, Tailwind config, and CSS
  • Visual Effects
  • Removed gradient text effects (replaced with solid emerald color)
  • Replaced glassmorphism with solid cards (subtle shadows, no backdrop blur)
  • Updated background gradients to use subtle emerald tints instead of purple
  • Updated button shadows to emerald-tinted shadows
  • Logo
  • Created new Rosetta stone-inspired logo with emerald green gradient
  • Minimal, professional design that works at small sizes
  • Theme Default
  • Changed default theme from dark mode to light mode
  • Still respects user preference and system preference if no stored preference exists
  • About Page Improvements
  • Fixed "Built for AI" card to use blue accent (differentiates from green "Result" card)
  • Enhanced "8 years in tech" intro text with styled background and emerald accent border

Testing

[x] All purple/violet colors replaced with emerald
[x] Space Grotesk font loads correctly
[x] No gradient text remains
[x] Cards are solid, not glassmorphic
[x] Buttons have emerald-tinted shadows
[x] Light mode is default and less bright
[x] Logo displays correctly with emerald colors
[x] Dark mode still works when toggled
[x] About page cards have distinct colors
[x] Profile intro text is properly styled

Visual Impact

The redesign creates a more distinctive, professional look that stands out from typical AI tool aesthetics while maintaining usability and accessibility.
