Wave is a software package written by Michael Scheer. It can be used to calculate the electrical field distribution of undulators and bending magnets. The output files for Phase are 4 files for the electrical fields. The first line gives the dimension nz, ny, the following lines are 3 columns, z, y, f(z,y).

Attention: The units are mm and V/mm. The Phase routines assume a fixed, ordered, equidistant grid where z runs fast (in principle the file format is more generic). The simple example file has horizontally 2 points and vertically 3 points with just one field value of 1 V/mm in the lower right corner, the dimensions are (1h x 2v)mm.
