Vortex Launcher 1.5.2 is released!

We fixed some bugs and added some features.

Important

Breaking changes ! For previous Vortex Launcher installations (< 1.5.0 or = 1.5.0) (1.5.1 is not concerned), you need to reinstall from the installer to get access to 1.5.2 and future updates. But don’t worry, the installer can update your Vortex Launcher without touching your projects, data, and configurations. This occurs because we changed some features in the update system.

The 1.5.2 was released on September 14 2025 for Linux and September 15 2025 for Windows (on distributions "stable", "beta" and "testing").

• All x86_64 Linux-based distributions (tested especially on ArchLinux, Ubuntu, and Debian)
• Microsoft x86_64 Windows 10/11 (WARNING: You need the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 17 (https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe). This Microsoft dependency will be added in the installer in the future.)

We've made a lot of improvements, especially in the user experience, user interface, and built-in tools and utilities. The Vortex Launcher will help manage projects, modules, plugins, and content for all of your Vortex projects!

Vortex Launcher 1.3.4 Released!

The Vortex Launcher is now available in version 1.3.4! 🎉 This update brings full Windows support, ensuring better compatibility and optimized performance. Additionally, numerous bugs related to the porting process have been fixed, improving stability and overall user experience.

Fixed issues :

• Bad embbed of MinGW libs
• Cannot find the cherry.dll in some cases
• Installation path issues
• If the executable contain a "(" the Vortex Installer cannot be lanched.

Vortex Launcher 1.3.3 Released!

Here is the first public and open version of the Vortex Launcher, our project for a free and open platform dedicated to creating systems, tools, and projects of all kinds!

Vortex empowers everyone, creators, hackers, and even beginners to craft all sorts of exciting projects. The core philosophy is to create something healthy, ethical, and secure.

Disclaimer: The project is not yet fully mature and still contains bugs and unimplemented features. The main goal of this release is to kickstart the update cycle for the program and officially launch the project to the public!
