Description of Changes

This contribution addresses issue Assets Needed: Liquid Sounds #196 It adds the following files

  • sound/misc/outwater.wav
  • sound/misc/water2.wav
  • sound/player/h2ojump.wav
  • sound/player/inh2o.wav
  • sound/player/inlava.wav
  • sound/player/slimbrn2.wav

outwater is taken from public domain dataset https://opengameart.org/content/40-cc0-water-splash-slime-sfx by rubberduck (splash_13.ogg). The .ogg file was converted to .wav using audacity with the appropriate resolution (mono, 8-bit, 11025 Hz).

water2.wav is a pitched and tempo changed version of water1.wav authored by lavender.pet as contributed to LibreQuake.

slimbrn2.wav, h2ojump.wav and inh2o.wav are mixes of soundeffects from https://opengameart.org/content/40-cc0-water-splash-slime-sfx by rubberduck, created by me in audacity. The original files were released by rubberduck into the public domain.

inlava.wav is a mix of soundeffects from https://opengameart.org/content/40-cc0-water-splash-slime-sfx by rubberduck and https://opengameart.org/content/flare-ignition by qubodup, both of which were released into the public domain.

All sounds files are sampled down to the conventional q1 audio resolution (mono, 8-bit, 11025 Hz). However, source files are available upon request. I declare my mixes to be released into the public domain, so that attribution is optional.

Adding water2.wav soundeffect. The sound is a pitched and tempo changed version of water1.wav edited by me (original file authored by ilja Midsummer / MissLavender as contributed to LibreQuake).

Yes, I have the audacity project files of all sounds, so I can export with practically any sampling rate or upload somewhere. However, the water2.wav effect is based strongly on the water1.wav from the repository, which itself is mono, 11025 Hz.

Is there a source folder where I should add the files? Or I could also upload them to OGA etc. Or maybe I misunderstood, did you maybe mean I should commit 44KHz versions of the files directly?
