Username: The name you log in with

Display Name: The name that is displayed on things you post.

Access: The group your user is part of. The group admin grants access to /admin. The default group is otherwise users. The group can be arbitrarily defined for use in your apps.

Status: "valid" is when the user is enabled. "pending" is when we are waiting on them to respond to a reset or new account verification email. (when a hash is set in lf_users)
