Setup Instructions

To install the Remote Desktop Plugin for Xbox Gamepads

On your local computer:

1. Download and run RdpGamepadClientInstall-1.0.2.exe to your local computer.
2. After the installer finishes, close and restart any Remote Desktop session.
3. Plug in an Xbox controller to your PC.

On the remote computer:

1. Download and install the latest ViGEmBus Drivers.
2. Download and install RdpGamepadReceiverInstall-1.0.2.exe.

On the remote computer you should have a white Xbox controller icon in the system notification area (a.k.a. the system tray). This application adds a virtual Xbox 360 controller whenever it connects to the Remote Desktop virtual channel. If it is not running automatically, from the Start Menu, run Microsoft Remote Desktop Gamepad Receiver.
