Following the nomination process, I have nominated and other maintainers have agreed to add Jialiang(@guojialiang92) as a co-maintainer of the OpenSearch repository. He has graciously accepted the invitation.
Jialiang has authored around 6 RFCs and 22 PRs mostly related to features/enhancements to the segment replication feature and contributing bug fixes to OpenSearch. His contributions have also been highlighted in the OpenSearch’s 1st year Anniversary Blog.
Jialiang has demonstrated great deep dive skills, uncovering a critical data integrity issue and has helped optimize performance for the replication and recovery flows in segrep. He has also been proactive in improving the overall system reliability by contributing to a handful of bug fixes and flaky tests. Apart from these contributions, Jialiang also actively engages in probing assumptions and sharing his thoughts on some RFCs
